Renew Password notification
Every 90 days, users will receive a notification to update their password.
Three days before expiration, users will receive a reminder email with instructions to update their password. If the password is still not updated, users will receive one last email reminder on the expiration date.
If users do not change their password after the final expiration notice, they will receive an additional message informing about the password's expiration and an invitation to reset it.
Depending on the security level of your role, your password will be locked out after either 3 (or 6) failed password attempts. After the first failed attempt a 15 minute counter begins and if you fail to successfully login in the next 2 attempts within the 15 minute window, you are locked out for 30 (or 60) minutes. If you are locked out for 3 times without a successful login, your account is permanently locked out and will require an administrator to re-enable it.
On the Vault's login page, users have to click on the Forgot or need to reset your password? link locate below the button:
A new window will pop up for users to introduce their email address and then click on :
The following pop up will show, which will direct users to their email box:
Once there, users should see a message under the title Reset Emerios Account Password
Users have to click on the link provided:
Once done, the following window will become available. Users will have to provide the new password twice and make sure that all the security requirements listed are met:
If the new password meets security requirements, a pop up will be displayed with the following message:
If your password does not meet the security requirements, a cross will appear next to each field that does not meet the requirement and the button will remain disabled:
Note: Depending on the user's role, the password lengthwill be between 10 and 14 characters. Users cannot reuse the last 6 passwords > after the 7th password change, the oldest password is ‘forgotten’.
